Harmony - Peace Angels Global Project - Project Introduction

Convenors: Zhu Yanguang and Wong Hiu Hung Monica

Organizers: Psycho-Art Therapy Association & Narrative Drawing Intervention International Society
Work Collection Period: 2024.03.21-09.21
When we live in a safe and comfortable environment, have we ever thought about the children and teenagers elsewhere under the same sky who are suffering in displacement and hardship?
To this day, wars and conflicts persist in different regions. Children struggling for half a day’s peace or a sip of water deserve our sincere blessings, deep reflection, and every ounce of our care and love.
World peace is not just a slogan, nor is it merely a beautiful wish—it is a shared goal that every global citizen must work toward, step by step.
By doing our part, we can contribute to world peace, sending a ray of light, or even a glimmer of hope, to children living in suffering.
Would you like to become one of our Peace Angels?
All it takes is ten minutes and a doodle on a piece of paper. Together, we can combine these small efforts into something grand—aerial photography will capture these giant collaborative artworks, carrying our heartfelt wishes to children struggling in fear and uncertainty.
War and plague devastate innocent children. For those of us born and raised in peace, how can we transform messages of love and peace into a meaningful and innovative life lesson? Through this cooperative art project, our primary and secondary school students can become Peace Angels, contributing their part to world peace.

Professor Zhu Yanguang

Independent artist and witness to 40 years of Chinese contemporary art. During the ’85 New Wave movement, he was a key member and founder of WR Group, the only avant-garde art collective in Datong, Shanxi. His performance piece Mourning at the China/Avant-Garde Exhibition (1989) pioneered the use of performance art to engage with public discourse in China. After 2000, he relaunched the Mourning Project and established one of China’s earliest Contemporary Art Studios (Mourning Group) at Beijing Bailie University, becoming an integrator of education, concepts, live actions, events, and expression—as well as a practitioner of collaborative art. He is a trailblazer in the modernization of Chinese art education.
From 2003 to 2014, he served as the academic director of the Contemporary Art Studio at Beijing Bailie University’s Art and Media Department.
In 2017, he returned to easel painting.
